By Dione Geiger, President, The Sterling Council
You don’t have to travel across the state or clear your calendar for a week to level up your leadership. Starting July 22, the Sterling Council is bringing world-class leadership development straight to your screen through 30 powerful minutes every Wednesday at noon.
The Sterling Summer Learning Series distills the acclaimed Advanced Leadership Development track from the 2026 Sterling Leadership Conference into six focused virtual sessions. Six extraordinary presenters. Six competencies that define exceptional leaders. Zero excuses not to join.
What You’ll Walk Away With
This isn’t theory for theory’s sake. Each week zeroes in on one competency you can put to work the same afternoon: leading through change, having the conversations most people avoid, and building the integrity and influence that make people want to follow you. Drop into a single session or attend all six; either way, you leave with something you can actually use.
The Lineup
Hosted each week by Sterling’s own Roland Martinez and Dr. Laura McNeil:
- July 22 Overview of Key Leadership Values — Roland Martinez, FL Dept. of Health
- July 29 Integrity & Character — Jason Lesandrini, PhD, FACHE
- August 5 Influence and Communication — Nichole Solomon, Sterling Master Examiner
- August 12 Change Management & Adaptability — Alaa El-Hawagy, Chairman, Sterling International
- August 19 Accountability & Crucial Conversations — Monique Akanbi, SHRM Honest HR Podcast
