Florida Sterling Council is a nonprofit organization dedicated to elevating organizational performance excellence across all business sectors.
For the first time ever, Florida Sterling Council will host their 29th Annual Conference virtually June 1-4, 2021.
This event will allow more than 500 employees from the frontline to the C-Suite in all business sectors across Florida and Georgia to receive hands-on learning from industry experts safely. 70 speakers, including three keynotes, will represent Florida Sterling Council at this year’s conference, reflecting the wide diversity of organizational disciplines using Sterling/Baldrige best practices and methodologies, including (but not limited to) local and state government, manufacturing, healthcare and finance.
Debra Shultz, Chairperson of Sterling’s Board of Directors, said it is an honor to host the 29th Annual Florida Sterling Conference.
“We are thrilled to offer an engaging and interactive conference for all our attendees, and would I like to personally invite you to this powerful virtual event where you will learn valuable tools and techniques to achieve next-level performance to your organizations,” she said.
Hands-On Workshops
The Annual Sterling Conference is among the largest multi-sector business and networking conferences and is open to all professionals in Florida and Georgia who aim to better themselves, their teams, and their organizations. It provides them the opportunity to hear executive insight, participate in targeted workshops, and engage in conversations across multiple organizational sectors among professionals with responsibilities ranging from the frontline to the C-suite.
Keynote Speakers
Three leaders from role model organizations will serve as keynote panelists, sharing best practices and how the Sterling/Baldrige framework provides a continuous guide for improvement. They will also provide inspiration from their own professional journeys to excellence. Leaders scheduled to speak are: Mary Chatman, Executive Vice President/President Kennestone and Windy Hill Hospitals at Wellstar Health System; Cory Godwin, Director of Jail Operations at Walton County Sheriff’s Office; and Roland Martinez, Deputy Director for Florida Department of Health in Broward County.
Team Showcase Competition
Bob Madeiros, CEO of Nature Coast Quality Associates and Master Examiner for the Florida Sterling Council, will once again emcee the Team Showcase Competition to recognize employees as they use problem-solving techniques to better serve their customers and improve business practices.
“The entire process of the Team Showcase competition is virtual, which we have never done before. The teams will share an improvement project, including their approach, execution, and results. It culminates in a 12-minute video presentation of the project by the improvement team,” Madeiros said. “Up to six teams will be competing for ‘best team.’”
Products and Services Exposition
The Florida Sterling Council is also pleased to announce it is accepting applications from exhibitors to join our 29th Annual Products and Services Exposition. The Exposition is a unique opportunity to introduce, promote, or sell your products and services directly to conference attendees.
